Bill Sutman

Chief Financial Officer

Bill Sutman joined Relativity in January 2009 as their Chief Financial Officer with more than 15 years of experience in the Entertainment Industry and 25 years of finance and operating experience.
Prior to joining Relativity, Sutman held a series of financial positions with NBC Universal, a division of General Electric, and its predecessor companies from 1997 - 2008.  He was most recently Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for the Media Works Group of NBC Universal.  Media Works was responsible for the NBC Television Broadcast and Network Operations, Universal Studios Film and Television Production/Post Production Operations and NBC Universal’s Digital and Information Technology.  From 2002 – 2004, Sutman was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Universal Pictures where he led the execution of Universal’s Film Securitization and the company’s integration with NBC, among other activities.  From 2001 – 2002, Sutman was based in Paris, France where he served as Executive Vice President, Finance for the TV and Film Division of Vivendi Universal following Vivendi’s acquisition of Universal Studios.  From 1997 - 2001 he held various financial positions of increasing responsibilities within Universal Studios and Universal Pictures and played a key role in the financial activities related to the USA Networks transactions and the integration of PolyGram Music and subsequent restructuring of the Universal Music Group.

Sutman started his professional career in 1983 in the New York office of Price Waterhouse where he served multinational clients in several industries.  In 1992 he joined Joseph E. Seagram & Sons where he served as Director, European Treasury Operations and Vice President, Internal Audit.  In 1997, he transferred to Los Angeles after Seagram’s acquisition of Universal Studios.
 
Bill received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business and Economics from Lehigh University and is a Certified Public Accountant.
